I'm Jonathan Boyce, a qualified write-in candidate for Lee County Commissioner in District 2.
I never imagined myself running for office. I decided to run after watching residents ask serious questions and struggle to be heard. I kept expecting somebody to step forward and do something.
Then I realized: I’m somebody.
Lee County is changing quickly. The issues before the County Commission are increasingly complex, interconnected and consequential. Residents deserve a commissioner who will study those issues, communicate clearly and treat public participation as an essential part of good government.
District 2 is home to legacy farms, rural communities and young families building their futures here. We can respect what generations have built while preparing intelligently for what comes next.
As an Unaffiliated candidate, I’m running to listen, learn, ask better questions and help residents understand the decisions shaping their community. I would be honored to earn your write-in vote.
Lee County is changing. District 2 deserves a commissioner who understands what’s coming—and what should never be lost.

Before Lee County treats an eleven-building hyperscale campus as an ordinary by-right light-industrial use, the County should establish the project’s complete scale, cumulative impacts, approval status, infrastructure obligations, emergency-service requirements and compatibility with surrounding land uses and airport operations.

Strong schools require full funding, not good intentions. Lee County should treat education as essential infrastructure and fund it accordingly. Strong schools require full funding, not good intentions.

Signing up for this list may feel like a small thing, but local government is shaped by people willing to do small, useful things consistently—reading an agenda, attending a meeting, helping a neighbor vote or asking a question that has not been answered clearly.
